Trains!
I mostly enjoyed my first Amtrak experience. There were stretches of the trip where the view wasn’t so great. Seriously, there’s only so much second grade-level graffiti and generic commercial buildings I can stand to see. The line ran adjacent with the ocean at times, and there were stretches where the train ran about 10 yards away from the sand and water.
I think a good way to improve the Amtrak experience for the less scenic moments of a trip is to add animatronic figures similar to Disneyland’s train ride. Amtrak would have to step it up a notch by theming the attractions with a skewed amalgamation of United State’s history; both past, present, and future. How cool would it be to see dinosaurs fighting for women’s suffrage? Just imagine a pack of life-like velociraptors eating all kinds of nefarious misogynists. I could get behind dinosaurs who believe in equality.
