Up until yesterday, the dating ads on my facebook landing page featured cute 20-something girls. As of today, they’re pushing mature ladies. How have I managed to skip an entire decade worth of potential ladies? I find this depressing.

Thought for the Day: Wall-to-Wall comments

I hold a strong dislike for the Wall-to-Wall comments that appear in my Facebook news feed. I don’t understand why the comments, which were intended for other recipients, appear in my feed. This achieves nothing, except it does make me realize that I have acquaintances with a lot of assholes with borderline levels of illiteracy.

I like that Facebook has the “Discover People You May Know,” I’ve found some friends I’ll never ever talk to in real life, but Internet friends… You bet! I’m annoyed with the times when Facebook suggests people I don’t know, but they share several mutual friends. I may have even grown a little paranoid when it suggests a friend. I’ll spend time trying to figure out if I really do know these people in real life. What are you trying to say Facebook? Do I not have enough iFriends already? Have you been spying what I peruse on the Internet, such as wikipedia trivia, ~~porn~~, Legos, ~~porn~~ and hilarious YouTube vids that have nothing to do with porn, and you think I should have more friends in life? I’m glad that Facebook cares, but let’s leave well enough alone.

Happy Birthday, Hope you Die

As much time I spend perusing the Interwebs, I manage to spend a minimal amount of time on Facebook. When I am on that site and I see a birthday coming up, I’ll make it a point to leave a Happy Birthday greeting on that person’s Wall. My success rate in getting a simple thank you in return is less than 10%, in which case, it makes me hate these people who don’t seem to care for courtesy. From now on, not only will I wish a happy birthday, I’ll be content knowing these “friends” are that much closer to wrinkles, high cholesterol, and incontinence.
