The Urban Dogsled
Forget Hybrids, electric cars and scooters. The real eco-friendly form of transportation is the urban dogsled. If our furry friends can help pull us through snow, why can’t they help me get to work or go to Target four to eleven times a week? Nothing would make me happier than to have a team of dogs pulling me along, and the stares I’d get from people still relying on more traditional methods of transportation.
Strengths:
- I’d have a zero emissions vehicle
- No dependency on foreign oil
- I wouldn’t need to smog an urban dogsled
- Their poo can be turned into fertilizer
- I could have multiple sleds for different purposes. (i.e. city, highway, and off-road)
- I’d have 6 to 10 best friends
- Chicks dig cute doggies
- As far as I know, drinking n’ sledding is not illegal
Weaknesses:
- Rain
- Cost of food might outweigh cost of fuel
- Veterinary expenses
- High cost of rubber chew toys for 6 to 10 dogs
- Playing fetch could cause problems
- Car trouble is no longer an excuse I could use for being late
