Hello, My Name is Vihn.
I may be biased since it’s my own name, but I can’t imagine how difficult it is to spell Vinh correctly; it’s only four letters long. It’s not like my parents named me Shjseefjkshfhjwehfjewhfwfuuqoire, and people would always have to ask, “Does your name have four or five e’s?”
I usually try to be a good sport about it, and I will resort to self-deprecation to show that it’s all in good fun, but there are times where I really get irked. Those times include when people are being completely careless, or they try to save face by explaining they’ve seen it spelled that way before.
My work email is currently spelled incorrectly. I’ve had to explain the difference to everyone I’ve been in contact with since I’ve started. Just doesn’t seem fair…
