  • Just under “Robot Replicas” on the packaging is a disclaimer that reads: Product does not convert. Does not convert what? Inverse fractions? RAW to Jpeg? They’re selling Transformers that don’t transform. You can’t sell Transformers that don’t transform. You just can’t. Do you understand how ridiculous this is? I’m a little upset about this.

  • My mom gave me this lunch bag when I was 8 or 9. I used to put my comics inside, which fits 50-60 issues perfectly, and some other toys to lug around with me whenever my parents dragged me on a weekend shopping excursion. I’d sit in the backseat with the window rolled down to read and re-read my comics while my parents did whatever it was they did. Surprisingly, it’s lasted 20 years without a single tear in its vinyl body or a kink in the zipper. I’ve had expensive bags last just a fraction of that time. My dad dug it out of my stack-o-crap this weekend to give to my nephew, who then placed his comics and toys inside. I got a little possessive when I saw this, mostly because I still use it to carry lunch in (when I still had a job). The nephew got a shiny new Ben 10 backpack from Toys R Us so I could reclaim my beloved lunch bag, which may or may not be used to carry my comics in.

  • I bought a new bookshelf yesterday because I was growing increasingly annoyed with having to dig through cardboard boxes for my belongings. I’ve successfully done two things: I’ve sectioned off my bathroom from the rest of my room, and I’ve come to realize the full extent of my geekiness with all of my graphic novels, comic books, Lego, and assorted figurines prominently displayed. Ugh…

Oh, and I set the shelf up to be double-sided in case I felt like reading Uncanny X-men #248 as I’m brushing my teeth. I also purchased this PS Cabinet.

  • I remember being given these as a child and never really knowing what I was supposed to do with them, so I would attempt to peel off the lousy “plastic wrapping” in order to get to the foam dinosaur. After getting only a miniscule portion of the wrapping off, I’d throw them away out of frustration. Truthfully, I hadn’t figured out how these worked until a couple years ago at Josh & David’s Pre-Giving Thanksgiving 2006 party. Dissolve them in water? OH! Luckily, I wasn’t one of those kids that ate things, but it would’ve made for a good story if I did.
